Krystal Ball is an American political commentator, journalist, and activist who was born on November 24, 1981, in King George County, Virginia. She attended the University of Virginia, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and a Bachelor of Science degree in foreign affairs.
After college, Ball worked as a certified public accountant for a short period before becoming involved in politics. In 2010, she ran for the United States House of Representatives as a Democrat, but ultimately lost the election.
Since then, Ball has worked as a political commentator and journalist. She has appeared on various news programs, including MSNBC, CNN, and Fox News. In 2018, she co-hosted a show on Hill.TV called "Rising" with Saagar Enjeti.
Ball is also an advocate for progressive causes and serves on the board of directors for the People's House Project, a political organization that aims to increase representation in Congress for working-class Americans.
In addition to her political and activism work, Ball has also authored a book titled "The Populist's Guide to 2020: A New Right and New Left are Rising."
